Hey everyone! It’s another week and another challenge! Listen our team has lost a total of 85lbs since we started this, BUT we have been a little stagnant in the weight loss area recently. I am definately included in that number. I have been at the same weight since Feb. 27th. Now something is absolutely not working. Last week, I asked for some feedback and ideas on how to get this weight to falling off and I did get one message from daylilygrl29 to add a few more calories of healthy food. To be honest, i haven’t been eating much AT ALL.
Today I got another email from our newest members (welcome aboard) who are excited about the team. So let’s stay in touch and keep moving. Listen yall, I still have 85lbs. to lose! This has been the toughest fight of my life. Nothing has ever been this hard for me. The question was asked if the team meets so that we can encourage eachother and the answer is no. The reason is that many of us live in different cities. However, I have set up a blog that will allow ALL of us to communicate with eachother about this journey. I really encourage everyone to use it because you may have some things that will work for someone else. I am at my wits end becuase I don’t know what to do. Obviously weight loss is about much more than NOT eating (LOL).
So my husband and I are assistant coaches on my daughter’s softball team. This will give me some activity that I do not currently have in my life. The team plays 2 games a week and we have 15 girls on the team. Today I also signed up to walk the 5k (3 miles) with Brewton-Parker’s team at the Vidalia Onion Festival. What this means is that I have to start walking otherwise I will fall out on the that day. Any body feelin me. Listen my co-workers will be walking too and they are preparing so this has truly motivated me to start walking even if it’s only 10 minutes a day. I sit at a desk all day, very rarely take a lunch break and only get up to use the restroom and go home. So I am making a conscious effort to “get on the move”. I know many of you have tried different things and some work and some dont.
If you have time, take a moment and go to the blog and leave a comment. Introduce yourself to the team. You don’t have to tell your name or location (totally up to you) just tell us about yourself and your goals. Thsi will allow more open communicaton and I believe that although we may never meet; we can still encourage each other. Looking forward to hearing from each of you.

I WILL CONTINUE TO SEND YOU WEEKLY UPDATES AND WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT. Don’t forget to log your weight loss or weight gain. Hey the Lord delivered them “little by little” and I am believing the same thing for this weight. It will come off “little by little”. Tell your neighber: “little by little”.
Love you all and look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Lady,
I wanted to write and encourage you as you do such a good job encouraging the team often. You are indeed on the right track. I was working out with a group two days a week doing light training. Some of the people got discouraged and asked the coach why they see a difference in their clothes but not on the scale. This is her reply:
Well, the main thing I want to see is that you are becoming healthier and able to move better. If I can establish your habit of movement on most days (more that just your regular everyday activities) that will serve you well in 20 years. I have a fantastic article I will bring next week that puts it in perspective.
Now, let’s get to weight loss. Many of you are wishing you could lose some more weight. Most of you have said your clothes fit better but not seeing much difference of the scale. First of all, it’s just a number!!! You must judge your health by the weigh (play on words) you feel, your clothes feel on your AND the numbers your doctor gives you like BP and cholesterol and the like. It can be confusing but ultimately if you want to lose weight you must have a deficit in calories each day. It takes 3500 calories to lose 1 pound. Let me put it in perspective. We have met 15 times (no one has been there each time, but lets assume you have). Let’s say you burned 300 calories each time you’re there-I think that’s conservative. 15 (visits) x 300 calories = 4500. That’s about 1.3 pounds lost. That’s if you made no other changes. Think about that! Keep in mind that you have most likely gained muscle which if heavier than fat BUT takes up less space. That’s why you are feeling more room in your clothes.
Now this helped me tremendously,
